Audio-Video Splitters, Connectors, and Adapters
These items typically reside at each end of a communications cable used in TV, CCTV, digital CATV, VCR, DVR, PA systems, HDTV satellite, security and surveillance systems. A splitter lets you take the audio or video signal from one source and send it to two or more outputs (speakers for audio, or monitors for video). Split signals usually benefit from PA amplification after the split. An AV connector (such as a BNC connector) is a cable fitting that allows signal flow from one AV component to another. An AV cable adapter is used to transmit a signal between two devices having dissimilar connection points. Products vary by cable type, dimensions, and other considerations.
