Bronze is an alloy made of copper and tin, making it more corrosion resistant and stronger than brass. It is well-suited to those parts of power transmissions that are exposed to corrosives, like gears and bearings that are exposed to gas, or blades, propellers and shafts exposed to salt water in marine applications, and so on. In residential settings, bronze is often used as an alternative to copper pipes. And for its aesthetic appeal, bronze is used in gates, fesceposts, grills, and doors or windows.
