Evaporative cooler pads and accessories are used with the evaporative cooler systems popular in America’s desert west. Instead of refrigerants, these systems cool the insides of buildings by using blower wheels and other types of fans to draw air through moistened pads. Some evaporative coolers are portable and can be wheeled from room to room on carts while others are stationary, delivering their cooled air via internal ductwork and ventilation systems. The cooling media accessories they use are similar to humidifier accessories, such as water-holding cooling pads and water conditioner tablets and tanks.
