About Sockets
One of the most used hand tools — the trusty socket — is a must-have for any general contractor, carpenter, mechanic, or repairman. Just attach a socket to a hand ratchet or socket wrench (or an impact socket to an impact drill) and use to loosen stripped nuts, lug nuts, or rounded nuts; tighten square head bolts or rounded bolts; or on spark plugs, tire nuts, engine bolts, light bulbs, or other materials. Shop sockets by drive size, material, finish, number of points, or SAE or metric measurement. Grab power fastening tools like socket sets (metric socket set, allen socket set, deep socket set, impact socket set, or Torx socket set) or crowfoot socket wrenches. Or upgrade your socket with one featuring external hex, magnets, or brushes.
