Anchor Setting Tools
Anchor setting tools are used to install cavity wall fixings into drywall that doesn’t have a reinforcement stud behind it. Suppose you want to hang a picture or add a bathroom towel rack, but there’s no wooden or aluminum stud behind the drywall or tile to hold the weight securely. That’s when hollow wall anchors come into play. A hollow wall anchor (or molly anchor) is a metal sleeve that goes around a screw that is drilled into the wall. Once the anchor is flush with the wall, the screw is slowly removed, causing the anchor behind the wall to expand, forming a wedge against the wall for a secure fit. Concrete anchors and wedge anchors do the same thing on construction jobs, securing concrete blocks more effectively. Zoro also has a great selection of anchor screws too.
