There are a variety of automotive polisher accessories available, including backing plates, polishing pads, compounds, and polishes. Backing plates attach the polishing pads to the polisher and come in different sizes and materials. Polishing pads are made of different materials like foam, wool, and microfiber and are used for various stages of the polishing process. Compounds and polishes are used to remove defects and bring out the shine of the paint finish.

Consider factors such as the type of polisher you have, the condition of the paint finish, and the desired results. For example, if you have a rotary polisher, you'll need to use backing plates with a larger diameter. If the paint finish is heavily oxidized, you'll need to use a more aggressive polishing pad and compound. For a high-gloss finish, use a finishing polish and a soft polishing pad.

Automotive polisher accessories can help to improve the appearance of your vehicle by removing swirls, scratches, and oxidation. They can also help protect the paint finish from future damage by creating a hydrophobic barrier. Regular use of polisher accessories can extend the life of your paint finish and keep your vehicle looking its best.

The frequency of use will depend on several factors, including the environment your vehicle is exposed to and the desired results. As a general rule, it's recommended to polish your vehicle every 4-6 months to maintain a high-gloss finish and to protect the paint from the elements.
