Bookends come in a huge variety of materials such as iron, brass, marble, and concrete. Some even feature decorative elements like animals, abstract designs, or literary figures.

Consider the size and weight of your books, as well as the style of your du00e9cor. If you have heavy books, you'll need bookends that are sturdy enough to support them. If you have a particular du00e9cor style, you can choose bookends that complement it.

Place the bookends on either side of your books on a bookshelf or table. The bookends should be tall enough to keep the books upright, but not so tall that they obscure the titles of the books.

Most bookends require minimal care. You can simply wipe them down with a dry cloth to remove dust. If the bookends are made of a metal that is prone to tarnishing, you can use a metal polish to keep them looking their best.
