Slotted brake rotors have channels cut into the surface of the rotor to help clear brake dust and gas, while drilled brake rotors have holes drilled into the rotor to help dissipate heat and reduce brake fade. Both types of rotors can improve braking performance and reduce brake wear.

The performance of brake rotors can vary depending on the type of rotor, the make and model of the vehicle, and the brand of the rotor. However, you can expect to pay anywhere from $50 to $200 per rotor.

The lifespan of brake rotors can vary depending on the type of rotor, the driving conditions, and the maintenance habits of the driver. However, you can expect most brake rotors to last between 30,000 and 70,000 miles.

There are several signs that can indicate that your brake rotors need to be replaced, including: - Squealing or grinding noises when braking - Pulsation or vibration in the brake pedal - Reduced braking performance - Visible cracks or damage to the rotors
