Cartridge rolls are abrasive sanding tools used to finish metal and wood surfaces. They are a popular choice for grinding, deburring, blending, and polishing applications due to their versatility and portability.

Types of Cartridge Rolls

Cartridge rolls come in a variety of shapes and sizes depending on the application. The most common types are straight-sided, tapered-sided, and stepped-sides for reaching tight corners or crevices. Different materials such as aluminum oxide or ceramic grain can also be used depending on the job.

How Cartridge Rolls are Made

Cartridge rolls are made by winding abrasive cloth around a core that is typically made from wood or plastic. The cloth is usually impregnated with resin to ensure maximum durability. Different sizes of cloth can be used to create different textures on the surface being worked on.

Industries that use Cartridge Rolls

Cartridge rolls are widely used in many industries such as automotive, construction, marine, aerospace, manufacturing, home improvement projects, and more. Professionals often use them for sanding down weld seams or other hard-to-reach areas.
