About Chain Slings
When it comes to heavy lifting, chain slings surpass rope and wire alternatives. These lifting slings are constructed of two high grade lengths of metal chains, each of which is suspend from the shackle (or eye) which form the chain “leg”. Each chain leg has a hook end (AKA leg hook) that is designed to attach to a lifting base that contains the load to be moved. Products vary by materials (usually alloy steel), number of chains, working load limit and more. For additional options on heavy lifting, see our web slings and round slings.
