In the world of power transmission equipment, the couplings that are used to connect two shafts require S-Flex shaft coupling rubber inserts, known as coupling inserts, to transmit torque while absorbing vibration and accommodating misalignment. These flex couplings vary by type of rubber, dimensions such as bore diameter, maximum RPM, and additional considerations. Also see spline shaft couplings and jaw type spiders.
