Drywall Screws

Generally, there are 2 ways to attach drywall to studs. Drywall nails are sold in a variety of sizes, however it’s important to remember, that drywall nails will start to pop through the wall over time and you’ll need to nail them back in place and repaint over them. The best choice for attaching sheetrock or plasterboard is by using screws. Drywall screws can have coarse or fine threads. Coarse threads work well in most applications, but fine threads work better when drilling into metal studs. Both styles come in a variety of sizes, so select the size that works best with the thickness of the drywall you are installing.
