About Electromechanical Timers
Electromechanical timers (AKA timer switch) enable the preset start and stop interval control of systems such as lighting, pumps (fountains, pools, sprinkler systems, etc.), fans, HVAC systems, water heaters, sign displays, and commercial ovens. Unlike many other electric timers, electromechanical timers feature a small electric motor and dial which, while not quite as accurate as a digital timer, are sometimes easier to set. Items vary by enclosure type, mounting style, minimum and maximum time settings, voltage, number of trippers and other considerations. For more, see our cycle timers and timer accessories.
