Exit Devices
About Exit Devices
Exit bars and emergency exit push bars are a type of latching door hardware that is affixed horizontally across, and runs most of the width of, a one-way exit door. They are sometimes referred to as panic exit bars. When pushed, the bar releases the latch, allowing for the door to be pushed open with the same motion. They’re often used in conjunction with door closers for added security.
