Fire and Smoke Dampers
Fire and smoke dampers are movible ducts in HVAC units, designed to prevent fire and smoke from spreading and causing more damage to a factory, warehouse, or other workplace. Many facilities have motorized fire and smoke dampers that are triggered when a fusible link melts when the room temperature rises to 165 degrees Fahrenheit. To help prevent smoke and fire buildup in hot zones, like a kitchen, heat diffusers spread and throw air quickly, so smoke is less concentrated. We also carry process heater elements, heating cables, and access door options.
