It is compatible with First Alert VX1 and Ring video doorbells, allowing users to see and speak to visitors directly from the thermostat (video doorbells sold separately). The X8S provides precision comfort and indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring and control and can be adjusted remotely, along with other smart home Resideo video, safety, and water leak detection products, via the First Alert app. The X8S works with up to 3 heat/2 cool heat pump systems with electric backup or 2 heat/2 cool conventional systems.
