Indexable Face Mills
A face mill is a light cutting tool for milling operations that rotates at an axis perpendicular to the workpiece so that the mill’s “face” cuts a smooth, flat plane across the surface. An indexable face mill is a tool holder that accepts interchangeable carbide cutting blades and installs within the holder on a milling machine. Considerations when purchasing products for face milling include cutting diameter, number of inserts required, insert size, pitch dimensions, compatibilities and others.
