About Reducing Bushings
Reducing bushings are metal, nut-like couplings that allow a larger-diameter pipe to be joined into a smaller-diameter pipe. A reducer bushing is used for many plumbing and electrical applications. Besides steel bushings, they also come in aluminum, brass, and PVC options. In a similar fashion, a reducing washer is used to reduce the size of a hole newly created by drilling into sheet metal, such as an electrician’s box. Zoro also carries collard bushings, tapered QD bushings, keyless bushings, and CNC bushings.
