Rubber boots are primarily made of two types of rubber: natural rubber and synthetic rubber, such as nitrile rubber and neoprene. Natural rubber is derived from the sap of rubber trees and provides flexibility and water-resistance, while synthetic rubber offers durability and resistance to specific chemicals and abrasions.

To determine the right boot size, measure the length of your foot from heel to toe and add approximately 1-2 inches for proper fit and room for thick socks. Check the size charts provided by the boot manufacturer to find the corresponding size based on your foot measurement.

When selecting rubber boots, consider the following features: Safety toe protection for safeguarding against impact and compression, slip-resistant soles for enhanced traction, electrical hazard (EH) rating for protection against electrical hazards, chemical resistance for protection against specific chemicals, and insulation for warmth in cold environments.

To extend the life of your rubber boots, follow these care tips: clean them regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and extreme heat, keep the boots dry by using a boot dryer or stuffing them with newspaper, and inspect them periodically for any damage or wear that may require repairs.
