Rubber-Cal’s Pure Gum Rubber is an affordable and eco-friendly natural rubber sheeting with high elasticity. This soft rubber product is naturally sourced from the latex of rubber trees and is free of any synthetic sheet rubber materials. Production of natural gum rubber leaves almost zero waste, allowing for an affordable and eco-friendly elastic rubber sheet. This gum rubber has a natural tan color that won’t rub off or leave unsightly stains. Because the flexible rubber is non-marking, it is ideal for abrasive applications in industrial and commercial settings alike. This natural rubber material generally has a higher rebound rate than its synthetic counterparts, and is best for applications that require high elasticity. The gum rubber durometer or hardness is typically much lower than other synthetic rubber materials. A higher durometer indicates a hard rubber sheet, while a lower durometer indicates a more soft and flexible rubber material. This 1/16” gum rubber has a durometer of 40A, giving is a soft surface and excellent pliability. This low durometer is the key feature of Rubber-Cal’s gum rubber sheet, as it has a high tensile strength and can handle a great deal of physical stress without taking damage. Though natural gum rubber doesn’t do well with oils and chemicals, the flexible elastomer does have good resistance to organic salts, ammonia, acids, and alkalis. The natural rubber sheet can also work well in temperatures from -20° to 170° F, making this soft sheet rubber great for industrial applications that require more “bounce back.” For a flexible industrial rubber with high adaptability, nothing beats natural gum rubber. The high elasticity of pure gum rubber means that the rubber materials can be stretched and compressed without losing their shape. The gum rubber is great for absorbing impacts, vibrations, and even sounds to allow for a safe and forgiving surface. As a result, this flexible rubber product performs well in high-impact applications such as natural rubber gaskets, lining, or pads. The elasticity of this non-marking rubber also makes it perfect for delicate applications such as window squeegees or even drum practice pads. Our flexible sheet rubber is available in several different gauges to meet the needs of any possible application. This 1/16” natural rubber is one of the thinner options available and works best in detailed applications. The thin sheet rubber has better resilience than the harder alternatives, even when the rubber sheet is stretched. And due to the natural coloring, this natural gum rubber will never rub off or leave residue on sub-surfaces. This flexible rubber sheeting is a very pliable non-marking material with great resilience, making it the perfect choice for high-impact applications.
