Widely used for home construction, remodeling and general carpentry, sinker nails (AKA framing nails) are great for interior framing jobs and other structural fastening. These nails are thinner than common nails, and coated with vinyl to facilitate smooth hammer driving, as well as to enhance holding power. These steel nails are characterized by a funnel-shaped flat head, and a checkered grid stamped atop the head. Items vary by length, gauge, size (d), and head diameter, among other considerations.
