About Thermal Units
Motors used in industrial manufacturing can be easily overloaded—and that’s where a thermal unit can really help you out. Thermal units protect motors by tripping or shutting off circuits when temperatures get too hot, which can very quickly damage or totally disable a motor. Overload relays are available as well.
