About Thermistors & Resistance Temperature Detectors
Resistance temperature detectors (RTD) measure temperature by transferring electric current through metal. These RTD thermometers consist of a metal wire wrapped around a center made from glass, ceramic, or other materials. The metal wire is most commonly platinum but also uses nickel, copper, and Balco. Our selection of RTD thermometers has different probe connectors, temperature ranges, and attachment accessories. We also carry thermistor sensors that use ceramic or polymer wiring materials instead of metals. These instruments are ideal for industrial and commercial temperature reading, and we also have process monitoring devices and many other laboratory supplies and equipment.
