The hard density interface backup pads is used with sanding sheets such as EKAFORCE or FILMTEK to raise the sander above the wood in order not to damage the profile when sanding the center panel of cabinet doors. While we recommend our EKASILK PLUS sponges for during the finishing process, these pads are the perfect items to sand raw wood panels and other raw wood products.
