The welding contact tip is the business end of a MIG welder. It transfers the electrical current to the consumable welding wire as the live wire passes through the contact tip’s center bore and makes electrical contact with the bore surface. These MIG welding tips vary by wire size, material, overall contact size, and compatibilities, to name a few. For more on welding, see our welding tips, TIG torches, welding nozzles, and other welding accessories.
