Description
XTRweld ER5356 is a premium aluminum TIG filler metal containing 5% magnesium, offering excellent corrosion resistance especially in marine and saltwater environments. Engineered with elevated levels of magnesium, titanium, and manganese, plus added chromium and reduced silicon, ER5356 delivers higher strength and better ductility compared to ER4043. Display Pack: 1 lb This non-heat-treatable alloy is suitable for all-position welding and is widely used on 5XXX series aluminum alloys. Ideal for fabrication and repair of boats, ships, trucks, automotive components, pressure vessels, and other aluminum structures. Not recommended for applications exposed to sustained temperatures above 150°F (65°C).
