DuraPrep Surgical Solution Applicator, 26 mL: This patient preoperative skin preparation solution contains iodine povacrylex (0.7% available iodine) and isopropyl alcohol (74% w/w). FDA-NDA approved, this solution provides rapid and persistent antimicrobial activity that meet FDA, ASTME1173 test methods for patient preoperative skin preparations. Solution kills major pathogens in one minute (in vitro). Kills 99.999% Gentamicin-resistant and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci (VRE) in one minute versus leading aqueous iodophors, which kill in ten minutes (in vitro). Meets the TFM required log reduction with a single, painted coat. Enhances drape adhesion compared to Betadine combination, Hibiclens antimicrobial skin cleanser. Large-size applicator (26ml) covers 450 square inches (15" X 30" area) and is appropriate for procedures with large prep areas including thoracic, CV, spine, total hip and knee, c-section and major abdominal surgeries.
