What are Abrasives?
Abrasives remove and smooth rough edges, nicks, burrs, and notches from materials such as wood, metal, and steel. Grinding wheels and cut-off wheels finish a variety of surfaces including glass, wood, metal, and concrete. The higher the number, the finer the grit. To sand your workpiece successfully, your grit strength must be stronger than your workpiece.
