It features a NEMA 10‐30P 30‐amp, 125/250‐volt, 3‐prong male plug connected to a NEMA 5‐20R 20‐amp, 125‐volt T‐blade household receptacle, allowing standard 5‐20 or 5‐15 devices to operate from older 10‐30 dryer circuits. To safely step down from 220V to 110V, the adapter includes a grounding wire attached to the male‐plug end, which must be connected to a proper ground point.
