About Air Guns
Air guns and air tools are pneumatic tools that serve a variety of purposes including non contact cleaning, debris removal, or with the addition of abrasive media (or grit, such as sand) they can be used for polishing and smoothing. There are two types of air guns generally, depending on purpose and the type of blasting unit being used with them: a pressure feed blast gun expels abrasive media quickly at high pressure, while the lower maintenance siphon-feed blast gun is used mostly as a general purpose “air blower” clean up tool. Variations of air guns include nail guns, grease guns, pressure washers and tire inflators. Attributes that vary with use include body styles, body material, grip type and lever type and standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) flow rate, inlet size and nozzle diameter. Users often purchase these accessories: air compressors, air hoses and hose fittings.
