It works well at low and high magnifications, but is especially useful for larger fields-of-view due to its larger diameter. It produces reliable illumination with 6500K color temperature to match most daylight-balanced light sources for consistency in color rendering. LED brightness is managed by voltage-control, so the output will be persistent -- a necessity for digital imaging.
