The larger heavy-duty frame provides stability along with precision mechanics. The infinity-corrected, plan-achromatic optics provide high-resolution images with edge-to-edge sharpness, and optional apochromatic and semi-apochromatic objectives are available for improved resolution and transmittance. The Koehler illumination system is designed for precision, with a variable-NA swing-condenser allowing the use of high and low magnifications with full, even coverage. A range of optional accessories are available to expand functionality such as phase-contrast and darkfield. Viewing Head The microscope's head is designed for precision and comfort. The super-widefield optics provide a larger field-of-view so you can see more specimen at any magnification. Compensation-free Siedentopf interpupillary adjustment allows any user to properly align the oculars without readjusting focus. For users with astigmatism or asymmetrical vision, the left ocular can be adjusted to fine-tune focus. The photo port is equipped with a C-mount interface for attaching cameras without intermediary lenses, and is height-adjustable to match focus with the eyepieces. The port is compatible with our CX series C-mount ports which are available with different levels of magnification for cameras with different sensor formats. An optional 23mm port adapter is available for use with 23mm reduction lenses. The head is set to a 30° incline which is ideal for viewing from a standing position, and it can be rotated 360°.
