This is an infinity-corrected biological compound microscope with LED-based, Koehler-brightfield and darkfield illumination. The infinity-corrected optical system allows for introduction of inline-components without the limits of a finite tube-length. This includes episcopic illuminators, such as a fluorescence kit. The quintuple nosepiece provides quick access to five objective lenses 4X,10X,20X,40X,100X. The Plan achromatic objectives provide excellent correction for both chromatic abberation and field geometry. With the 10X wide-field eyepieces, the magnification ranges from 40X to 1000X. The Siedentopf head-design allows for compensation-free interpupillary-adjustment. Following Koehler illumination principles, the LED light-source provides bright, even illumination with a field-diaphragm for precision control.
