Back up pads are a necessary tool for any job that requires sanding, polishing, or grinding. They are used to create an even surface on a variety of materials and surfaces. Back up pads come in a range of sizes and shapes, allowing users to choose the best option for their particular application.

Types of Back Up Pads

Back up pads can be made from different materials such as foam, cloth, rubber, or plastic. Each type has its own advantages depending on the material being worked on. For example, foam back up pads are better suited for softer surfaces like wood or plastic while rubber back up pads work better with harder materials like metal.

How Back Up Pads are Made

Back up pads are typically constructed using high-quality foam or other synthetic materials that provide cushioning and stability during use. The backing material is then coated with abrasive compounds such as aluminum oxide or silicon carbide which provides the necessary cutting power needed to get the job done.

Industries that use Back Up Pads

Back up pads are commonly used in industries such as automotive repair, construction, woodworking, metalworking and more. Professionals rely on them to help them get the job done quickly and efficiently without damaging the surface they’re working on.
