Testing magnesium in your groundwater & drinking water has never been easier! Our standalone test strips give you an accurate reading in under one minute in terms of Mg and CaCO3 . Easy to read color blocks at 0, 125, 250, 500 & 1000 ppm Mg2+ and 0, 500, 1000, 2000, & 4,000 ppm CaCO3. As rainwater passes through soil and rocks it absorbs some of the hard metals it passes through (mostly calcium and magnesium). While total hardness can be easily measured by test strips there are many situations where determining the specific mineral contributing to the hardness is useful. How to test Magnesium: 1. Dip strip into sample 2. Shake off excess liquid 3. Wait one minute then compare to color chart. It’s effortless to use; the testing process only requires the strips and results take under one minute. Packaged in a moisture-wicking bottle that ensures the strips are made to last.Can be used in conjunction with our total hardness test to calculate calcium concentration (by simply subtracting this reading from total hardness).
