The Beta 1132BM cable cutters are designed specifically for cutting insulated copper or aluminum electrical cables (such as battery cables). The hooked jaws are designed to keep large-diameter cables from slipping out so you get a cleaner cut. The jaws lock closed to prevent damage in storage. The molded black and orange Bi-Material handles offer a cushioned, non-slip grip. These wire stripping pliers measure 170mm long x 10.5mm thick. The jaws measure 26mm wide when closed. Maximum cable size 50mm2 (IECC 60228) or 1 AWG. Maximum jaw capacity 14mm (9/16") OD including insulation.
