Description
Jam Nuts are typically half as tall as a standard nut and commonly used as a type of locknut, where it is jammed up against a standard nut to lock the two in place. Nylon Insert Lock Nuts are a type of lock nut that has a nylon collar insert - which increases friction on the screw thread. This helps keep the nut in place, preventing it from loosening over time due to vibrations or wear and tear.
