About Chromoly Tubing
With a higher strength-to-weight ratio than aluminum alloys and carbon steels, chromoly tubing is commonly used for applications that require high strength with a low weight. Vehicles such as stock cars, aircraft, and high-performance bicycles, or parts like crankshafts and automotive gears, would benefit from having chromoly round tubing construction. It is also referred to as chrome moly tubing and it is formulated from chromium and molybdenum.
