About Clothespins
Wooden clothespins date back to the 1700’s when they were one piece, carved, forked pins used to hang wet laundry from makeshift clotheslines hung between trees or posts. Over time, they evolved to the spring-loaded design we are more familiar with today, as well as to colored clothespins made of plastic. And while their uses have expanded over time, their utility in laundry operations, along with ironing boards and laundry hampers, is still going strong.
