KFD Killer Force Drill Bits are manufactured from M2 premium grade high speed steel. Cryogenic KFD Drill Bits are cryogenically frozen to -300°F for 48 hours. Cryo treating the drill bits results in increased tool life, torsion strength and improved corrosion resistance. They are black and gold surface treated for use for use on alloy steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, spring steel, stainless steel, tool steel and other metals. Cryogenic treatment prevents breakage and chippage and cuts faster, longer and produces smoother holes than standard drill bits. For use on surface hardness 70 Rockwell C. 3-flat shank to prevent spinning. Can be used in place of a cobalt drill bit when drilling 300 &400 stainless steel.
