They are surface treated with abrasion-resistant black oxide and made of high speed steel with a 118° conventional point. These drill bits are jobber (standard) length with a round shank for use in a wide range of tool holding systems. Carbon steel hex dies are for re-threading or cleaning bruised or rusty threads. They are the most cost effective rethreading tool available. No special holder is required for this type of die, any wrench large enough will suffice. Ideal for maintenance in the shop or field.
