Edge and Center Finders
Edge and center finders are tools used to accurately align a milling machining tool with the piece that needs to be cut. An edge finder is a rotating tool with a cone-shaped tip that is used to find the center of previously drilled hole. Sometimes called a wiggler (or wobbler), a center finder can accurately find the center of a round workpiece. Finding the edge and center are very important, especially if the workpiece is being cut on a metal lathe. If the center or edge is even slightly off, the outcome will not be precise and consistent. A torpedo level can be very helpful in determining if the edge and center finders have done their jobs fast. Zoro also has a selection of milling and drilling machines.
