Description
This chair rail features convex moulding upon a raised base. Trim walls and more with classic chair rail. Chair rail was designed to protect walls from the marks and nicks caused by the backs of chairs, but like many architectural elements, chair rail evolved to hold great decorative significance. Today, chair rail is used primarily for aesthetic purposes. It is often used to halve the upper and lower portions of walls when dividing painted wall from, wallpaper or wainscoting.
