Kingston's carrara marble tops are polished, but they are not sealed. Polished marble has a shiny surface and resists stains. Natural stone, even when polished, is still somewhat porous and does remain susceptible to etching by acidic compounds like fruit juice, vinegar, some cleaning solvents, etc. For customers that wish to further protect their investment the granite can be sealed.
