Description: Lathe Centers are mainly used on lathes to support long and slim workpieces, since with these workpieces there would otherwise be a risk of the workpiece bending or moving around as a result of the forces generated. The lathe Center is secured with a Morse taper. The workpiece is clamped in the chuck and a counterbore is added using a Center drill. After re-clamping, the lathe Center is then inserted. Application: Mainly used for machining small and smallest parts on all types of lathes. Extended point allows unobstructed access for the turning tool on the end face of the component. Particularly suitable for copy turning.
