Designed for professionals and serious collectors who require maximum capacity and precise organization, the Pro Series represents the pinnacle of Gerstner craftsmanship. With thirteen drawers and a full-width top compartment, the 2613 provides expansive, graduated storage for precision measuring tools, machinist instruments, knives, firearm accessories, specialty hand tools, and valued collections. The traditional Gerstner front lid secures all drawers when closed and stows beneath the drawer stack when open, allowing complete access to the interior. Crafted from quartersawn white oak and finished in Gerstner’s rich Golden Oak stain, this chest highlights the dramatic “tiger stripe” figuring prized in quartersawn lumber. The golden tone reflects the warmth of aged oak while enhancing the natural grain. Over time, oak will deepen in color, developing even greater character. Exclusive to the 2613 is Gerstner’s trademarked Stop-Trac adjustable drawer system. This mechanism reduces accidental drawer removal while still allowing full removal when desired. Drawer tension can be adjusted to suit individual preference, providing added control during transport and daily use. One drawer features an independent keyed lock, allowing secure storage of personal valuables while the remainder of the chest remains accessible. Each drawer is hand-fitted to ensure smooth operation and precise alignment. More than 1,000 individual operations go into crafting every 2613 chest. Tongue-and-groove joinery reinforces structural integrity, while green felt-lined drawers protect contents from scratches and movement.
