Clarks tip hinges are designed for surface mounting. Refer to Mortise and Clarks tip application PDF for additional information. Each set contains 2 left-hand hinges, 2 right-hand hinges, and 2 sets of fasteners - enough shutter hardware to complete one window. Hinges are raw cast iron and must be painted before installation. We recommend a high quality spray paint designed for exterior use. Sold as 5 sets/box.
