It serves as the stationary receptacle half of a quick-connect fitting, receiving the plug and controlling an internal valve that opens or closes upon engagement. Constructed from brass with Buna-N seals, this coupler body is configured for hand engagement (no separate tools required for coupling) and is intended to minimize leakage when coupled with compatible components and installed per specifications.
