Typical harness kits provide a comprehensive array of components, including a full-body harness, a shock-absorbing lanyard, a connecting device, and a lineman's belt for convenience and support.

Selecting the optimal harness kit involves assessing several factors. Consider the specific work environment, the potential fall hazards, the weight of tools and equipment, and the user's individual size and comfort preferences.

Ensure that the harness kit meets or exceeds industry-recognized safety standards, such as ANSI Z359.11. These standards provide guidelines for design, performance, and proper use to maximize safety and minimize the risk of falls.

Regular maintenance and inspection are crucial. Inspect the harness, lanyard, and other components for any signs of damage, such as cuts, tears, or fraying. Clean the kit thoroughly and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area to prolong its lifespan.
