HHIP Spring Loaded Tap Guides & 4 Piece Tap & Reamer Wrench Set Start every tap straight with the regular spring-loaded tap guide tool. This guide has an adjustable tension spring with a 3/16 diameter hardened tension pin. It also has a reversible tension pin for male and female hole centering or tapping. Both included tap guides have a 1/2 diameter hardened shank that is knurled for batter grip. The spring centered tap guide tool is used to align taps for threading, lathes, mills and jig bores. The point on this guide is hardened up to 50-55 HRC. This tool can also be used with drill chucks to stroke the hardened point for accurate hand tapped threads. The center's body should be gripped in a drill chuck or collet while the hardened point is inserted into the middle of the tapping handle. The stroke of the center will follow the tap assuring straight and accurate hand tapped threads. This is a universal size for all tapping applications. The heavy-duty adjustable tap & reamer wrench set is drop forged. The wrenches have hardened jaws for increased longevity. The wrenches capacities include 1/16-1/4 M2-M6, 1/16-3/8 M2-M10, 5/32-1/2 M6-M12 & 5/32-3/4 M6-M22.
